Happy Easter

Spring has finally sprung here in DK. Though it has been record warm all winter long, we have only seen the sun for just a few hours total. But in the last few days there has been a nice spread of sunshine to help drag me up and out of my depression. So last weekend i took a walk to the park with the pooch. Here are a few snaps - Enjoy!

After walking the dog i came home to lunch that Jens was making for us and our weekend guest. Jens asked if i could help set the table. I took out a cheap 2 dollar, single use salt shaker that my mother gave me, out of the cabinet and it slipped between my fingers and fell right onto the the edge of a $220 plate. Yes $220 - look it up on the net if you don't believe me. Thank goodness the salt shaker didn't break. Anyway, the table and the food was so beautiful I had to take a picture and share it with you. It was so delicious i had to eat it myself - It was fresh Danish baked bread with loads of shrimp from Greenland served on hand painted royal porcelain. Salt and Peper shakers from Cost Co. and Carlsberg beer glasses imported to Denmark from a tourist souviner shop in Solvang California.

And Now.......

And now i would like to take this moment to wish you all a Happy Easter. If you are in the mood for some Easter music then sing this song. It's one that i use to sign a lot and it was fun to sing it. It's still a great song. Whether or not you believe in it - well that's a different story - but the song is still great.

Easter Song
2nd Chapter of Acts

Hear the bells ringing
They’re singing that we can be born again
Hear the bells ringing
Their singing that Christ is risen from the dead
The angel upon the tombstone said He is risen
Just as He said
Quickly now, go tell His disciples that Jesus Christ is no longer dead
Joy to the world
He is risen
Hallelujah
He’s risen
Hallelujah
He’s risen
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Hear the bells ringing
They’re singing that we can be born again
Hear the bells ringing
Their singing that Christ is risen from the dead
The angel upon the tombstone said He is risen
Just as He said
Quickly now, go tell His disciples that Jesus Christ is no longer dead
Joy to the world
He is risen
Hallelujah
He’s risen
Hallelujah
He’s risen
Hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah!

This really is a great song to hear and sing - if you like church songs. You can get it on CD. Just search for The Easter Song and or 2nd Chapter of Acts.

Ok and today i was just totally mesmerized with the IMAX movie Cosmic Voyage narrated by Morgan Freeman and nominated for 2 Oscars in 1997. It will make you realize just how small your understanding of god is. It's soooooo much more than a Easter bunny and chocolate egg. Or for that matter a tacky Mel Gibson film containing enough blood to fill a bank. But Ok - maybe all this is a bit too metaphysical for such a blog site.

Anyway... you can get your copy of The Easter Song on CD, Cosmic Voyage on DVD and The Passion of Christ on DVD all at Amazon.com - check it out for yourself.

OK - Next ! -

Coming Up !

International Parkinson's day/week - depending upon where you live. World Parkinson's Day commemorates the birthday, April 11, of Dr. James Parkinson, who established the condition as a clinical entity in 1817. For more information, just type Parkinson's in your search engine. You will find more information than you can "shake" a stick at.

Ok that's it for now. Lots of chocolate bunnies to you -
