Nothing new here.

But....

We had a couple of guys over for cake and coffee - which turned into shrimp and pineapple salad with Chili Salmon on rice with coconut cream.

After dinner, Nasko from Bulgaria whipped out his Canon and shot a few shots of the view from our balcony. It's been very foggy the last 3 days but today it has been quite a bit clearer and Nasko even managed to get the moon in some of the shots.


Worms for carpet. We found a really nice carpet at a furniture shop and ordered 2 of the Malibu Sand that they had on display. When I got them home, it turned out that both of them were different from each other and neither of them were Malibu Sand.

But it turns out that the carper for the dinning table had a silvery color that goes well with all the steel in the kitchen and the other carpet color goes well with the Cream White of the sofa.

If you have read my last few blogs, then you know a vacation and a break from everything was seriously need. Therefore I celebrated my special day with Jens and we visited with our friends, Patrick and Fabien, who live in the center of Paris in the le Marais district. My time in Paris was strickly for relaxing, celebrating and visiting with the guys. Therefore there is not a lot to tell and I will let this bogs' photos tell the story with a few photo captions.

Here are a few shots from the neighborhood. Most cafés and bar photos are on the same street as our hotel. We ate breakfast just accross the street from the hotel. We got up too late every day to eat hotel breakfast. We never adventured further than just a few blocks away from the hotel. The sites alone in this area kept my camera on the go.

Waiter - there's a fly in my blue lagoon. The guys wanted to send the drink back. Instantly the movie Victor/Victoria came to mind and I wouldn't let the guys send the drink back. (Notice the name of my favorite flick in my profile)

On the isle of cití, one of 2 small islands in the middle of the Seine, stands the Ministry of Justice.

At Pont Neuf, the northern tip of Isle de la Citi, is this statue of Henri IV in the foreground with the dome of Bibliothèque Mazarine in the middle ground and the Eiffel Tower in the background. This is as close as I got to the Eiffel Tower.

if I jumped off this bridge, I'd be in Seine

across the street and 3 doors down from Fabien's and Patrick's apartment is this wonderful Hotel Duo where our host had a room booked for us - way too generous.
