After a long and boring winter,
it was finally nice to see some sunshine.
Here we are in the Kings Garden
at the first sign of spring at the end of March.
Then in the middle of April, I decided to take advantage of the twisted Hazelnut sticks I got from my New Jersey friend Dan up the street who got them from his Swedish boyfriend's garden. See my Easter blog from last year for more details about the sticks.
I received the sticks shortly after Easter last year so they basically sat in the garage for almost a year before I took them out just 2 weeks ago. I had to spray them with the hose because they were covered with tile dust from when I did all the tile cutting for the bathroom floor. (See the previous blog for pictures and story.)
I had yellow and orange eggs from last year
and then I bought purple and pink eggs this year.

The eggs are hand painted and they all hang by silk ribbon.
Then a short time later I got some blue and green eggs from Dan who got them from his Swedish boyfriend, Stephen.
By this time the beautiful Forsythia had exploded with color - see it in the background?At the cheap-o German market, I couldn't resist buying this one in country-charm fabric.
Then I invited Dan and Stephen to drop by for dinner and they so generously brought me a glass egg with a glass chicken hanging from the egg.
Along with the glass egg they brought a really cute Easter Egg pot with spring time bulbs.
On Saturday I will marinate a huge leg of New Zealand lamb and then stick it in the oven on Sunday. So that's it from me this time. Just a short one to wish you all a Happy Easter, Happy Passover and a Happy and Warm, Sun-filled Spring Time Season with the colorful mix of traditions and celebrations.
