My workmate, Frank, goes to America more often than I do. He's there now. We were talking about our ID cards which we have to have when we fly on company discount tickets. His expired a month ago and just realized it 2 days before he was to take off for New York on SK 909. It was Friday and he was to leave on Monday and there was no way he could get an updated ID card over the weekend. No one has ever asked him for his card - he told me. And I mentioned to him that the only time anyone has ever asked to see my ID card was when I was flying on Alaska Airlines - from SEA to SNA - years ago.
So I went home from work that evening to see when my ID card expires and it turns out to be on October 5th. The new thing at work is when your card expires, you have to do the new photo yourself and up-load it on the computer at work and attach it to a form and send it to the appropriate office. It's been continuously gray here and I was waiting for a sunny day to take a picture to avoid a black shadow around my head from the camera flash. This is what I came up with and sent it off to the ID card office.

So after Jens snapped my mug shot, I down-loaded the pix from my camera to my computer to send it to the work computer. Not only did I forget that my ID card was about to expire, but I also forgot that I had pix from our 21st wedding anniversary - August 23

| Most bizarre...... Though I forgot that I had snapped this pix, I will never forget the scene. I was awaken by the heavy duty rain at 6ish in the morning. I wen to the window to take a look and the sky was an erie yellow. Other guys from work had also experienced the yellow sky that morning. It was foggy and pouring down rain at the same time - what made the sky yellow? |

Oh....... I forgot to tell you why I needed to up date my ID card. We are going to visit our friends in Paris to confirm that I am an old fart. I'll be 53 - ouch - in just a few days. Now was there anything else that I forgot?
